Hey guys! I've really been enjoying my MacBook for the past couple of days since I've had it, but I was wondering about some apple (wait for it) stickers.... in the box. My question is: are these replacements for the apple on the back of the display (doubtful) or does old Stevey just have a fettish with stickers...?

nope, they're not replacements, just Apple stickers. No new Mac(tel) would be complete without Apple stickers.

I got Apple stickers with my Nano. I don't know what I should stick them to, I have no car. I was thinking about sticking them to one of my professor's cars. I am a networking student, so there are alot of PC guys around.

haha I'm gonna have so much fun figuring out what to do with my Apple stickers... maybe I should stick them all over my old PCs as a joke... maybe I should stick 'em on the ass of my pants, one on each cheek... the possibilities are ENDLESS!!

I've gotten stickers with every mac I've bought in the past 10 years. It's pointless, but cool.

They go on the back window of your car to show how stylish you are. Really, that's what they're for-showing off your Mac-ness.

Apple has always included stickers with every single Mac, since day 1. Most of the Mac clone makers in the 90s did it, too.

Note that the stickers are not intended for windows -- they are not the mirror-image stickers that look right from the outside. But Apple window clings are readily available online.

No stickers in iPod boxes that I've seen. Just with computers.

I have one of the stickers on my external HD. I used to have the sticker that came with my 7100/66 in the back window of my car, but I'm not sure what happened to it.

you are supposed to put a sticker on the back window of your car, and then leave a white cord plugged into your lighter or your stereo. This lets people know that if they break into your car they may find good stuff.

hehe good point. I thought about putting one of them on my laptop bag, but that's basically saying "Oo0oo0Oooh! There's a mac in here! come take it!!!!!"

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I was wondering how durable these stickers really are. I've got 4 of them now from my iPod and my iMac, and I would like to sticker up the windows on my cars assuming they will hold up to Wisconsin weather.

They will hold up... the sticker on the back of my CRV has been on that car (which is parked outside) for 2 years.

I put my stickers on non-apple products. So far my employer supplied Dell has one, my Palm Zire 31 has one, and an iPaq I inherited is sporting one on the back.

Just put them on the inside. They are backwards when seen from outside the car but still announce your Apple/Mac-ness very nicely.

I remember in the 80s Apple supplied stickers that were applied from the inside. Car wash proof so to speak.
