okay well maybe not confirmed but this sounds legit

- Completely redesigned MacBook
- Completely aluminum body like MacBook Pro

The page won't load for me, but the specs make no sense. Why would they go to a lower resolution screen? A DVD drive that ejects DVDs when the eject button is pushed? OMG!1

I think this leak is a fake! I guess we will see tomorrow if his keynote starts feeling like deja vu...

Signature depreciated.

I like how a prediction posted after the Mac Pro release gets the Mac Pro specs wrong (many unchanged from the previous 1.5 year old model)

What a load of bull.

If we're gonna play the leaked/rumored/spoofed specs game, let's at least add something a bit surprising. Like this:

Less than 3/16 of an inch thick at the front. No Ethernet jack to reduce thickness. Only AirPort Extreme, USB, and some mysterious extra slot. I don't like the idea of having no wired Ethernet, but at least this concept is interesting.

So I re-fixed the title on the thread. And I'm amazed at how correct the "what a wild and bizarre concept" rumor was. It's a cool machine. Not for me (I tend to break things, and breaking $1800 worth of uber-coolness would be tragically wrong), but it's awfully cool.

The rumor wasn't even close, half the lines in their prediction were wrong.

Hey Mark, don't suppose you're planning to do a series of disk speed tests on your new MBA when it arrives? I'm very curious about SSD speeds, especially on boot time and Finder file copying.

Of course!
I'm a bit concerned with the SSD's performance given the low price.

Well compared to the 80GB 4200 rpm PATA microdrive it can't be that bad.

Take a look at the Transcend and SuperTalent SSD speeds. They're not much better than a 1.8"
Also the 80GB drive is 1.8", not microdrive (1").
