I wonder how long before Apple deletes them off our phones?
It sucks we have to pay twice for the music. I remember when I was able to download a free program from Nokia's web site to make my own free ring tones.

Not to nitpick, but when you pay for the song the first time you only buy a limited license to play the song, you don't own it to do with it as you please. When you pay the second time you buy the "use the song as a ringtone license."
I don't like it any more than you do, but if more people understood that you buy licenses and not the song something might get changed for the better.

I never signed or clicked 'accept' on any license agreement on any of my CDs.
And the Amazon MP3 agreement seems poorly-written enough that I could effectively argue that using their MP3s as ringtones is well within my rights. ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=200154280).
So I disagree - it all depends on where you get your music from if you have any sort of licensing restrictions.
