No, not really. That's just faking it - and they're not even faking it good. If they did, the shadows would change as sheets moved around on the screen.
The point is that if you move the sheet of paper away from your eyes, you notice this without thinking about it. On a display, it is not natural - especially not unless you have some sort of indicator telling you what your zoom level is. That you can figure it out is another thing entirely.
