Hi. Just thought I'd start a thread of train photos. Any kind of train. Light rail, freight, subway, regional rail, even model trains!
Here is a picture of a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Train.

No, it's just the particular smell of someone ovulating.

Everything you ever wanted to know about the MTA's train systems (both subway and commuter rail) can be found at this railfan's site.
Railfanwindow.com Gallery
And I do mean everything. He's got thousands and thousands of pictures of subway and train cars all over the MTA system. As well as pics and info on farecards, MTA history, and a smattering of pics and info on other rail-based mass-transit systems in the United States.
PS: if you like the old Redbird subway cars he's got tons of pics of those as well. Look at the bottom of the page for the listing of cars by model number. The Redbirds were the R29 and R33 series.

One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Right, so which donkeyorifice didn't read the rules about inserting "pic orgy" in the title when there's going to be lots of huge pics?

It would be REALLY nice if everyone posting pictures would be courteous to everyone else and NOT depend on the board to resize your pictures. The board code that resizes pictures has to have the whole picture before it can reduce it. Some of these pictures are humongous and that means LONG download times.
From our forum rules:
Inline Images
Inline images may not be wider than 1024 pixels, nor taller than 1500 pixels. The forum image resizer will proportionally reduce all large images to a maximum display width of 480 pixels. However, we still require the source image to be no larger than 1024 wide x 1500 high. Posting smaller images will accelerate thread loading speed.
The first picture in this thread is 2272X1704. It's over 1.5Mb in size and for anyone with a less than zippy connection, that will take a while. Add in all the other pictures that are too big, and you wind up spending a lot of OTHER PEOPLE'S TIME.
Fix the big pictures (1024 X 1500 MAX) and don't post any more gigantic pictures. This should be considered a group warning.

Hey, new cars? Never seen those. How do you tell how many pixels a picture is?

Start counting from left to right and the multiply that by the number from top to bottom.

That's how we did it back when I was in jr. high. One by one.
Of course there was only about 8 dpi, but hey, a large 2k file still has a lot of pixels.
