I've been browsing MacNN for a long time, but this is my first post! I'm seriously thinking of getting the iBook 12". I've got an amazing price on a complete network setup: (this is Canadian funds, educational pricing):

However, my only concern is that Core Image isn't supported by the video card in the current iBooks.

Are there any iBook revisions on horizon?

Thank you!

If by on the horizon you mean in November, then yes.

They were updated in late April so its not due to happen again for quite some time.

Or December, or January... or whenever Apple decides to update them.

I'm also thinking late 2004 or early 2005. -- Tony

I would also order it now and continue to wait past any future speed bumps until a g5 powerbook or ibook. -- Tony

Cram and Jam is a great deal. That was really what sealed the deal for me getting an ipod. Now that I have a 20g 4g click wheel, I am considering selling it on ebay. I now want the 40gig :>

I certainly can't guarantee it, but I doubt there is an update coming around the corner. In order for that to be possible, they'd probably really need to current Powerbooks to be upgraded to the G5, and that would almost certainly be next year.
Dual 1 ghz MDD with 80 gig and 1.25 DDR
