Hello,

Ever since I upgraded to Jaguar, Sherlock hasn't worked. Since it doesn't do anything that a web browser can't also do, it hasn't been too much of a problem.

I am running 10.2.3 on a 500Mhz iBook (dual USB revision). I have 640MB RAM and can run apps like Photoshop smoothly so I have no idea why this doesn't work.

When I launch Sherlock, it bounces then the Finder informs me that it unexpectedly quit.

Any ideas? I've already reinstalled Sherlock from the CD and have deleted the preferences.

Thanks,

Peter

This is a fairly common problem. Although there isn't really a known solution that works for everyone, it usually goes away on its own after a while. Try restarting.

also maybe trashing sherlock prefs will help or checking the logs to see why it died...

Be sure you also have an active internet connection. Sherlock won't launch without it.

This has been a persistent problem. Definitely 10+ restarts.

I have trashed the prefs on several occasions.

Network uptime is certainly not the problem.
