Hello! I am currently using my old lime iMac as a server. It's working great. It's also hosting music through itunes which is shared to my other systems. That's all just spiffy.

Today I decided to be noble and install Seti@home on it.... figured why not, since it's on all the time. However, the graphics aren't waht they used to be a few years ago. Now the graphics are this crazy 3d bullcrap that runs like total crap on this system, thanks to it's lack of 3d drivers. Is there a way to download the OLD seti@ home?

Also, given that it'd be using most of the CPU power doing this, what can I expect for power consumption? The CRT is off, and the hard drive spins down when not in use, but the processor will be churning away. Does htis use much power?

Thanks!

I am sure that there was a command line graphics free version of SETI. Though it is a long time since I ran SETI.
