When I'm listening to iTunes, my monitor doesn't "sleep" as described in Energy Saver C/P. As soon as I stop playing music or quit, sleep resumes as scheduled. The same applies for hard disk sleep, but that's fine.
Is this just the way it is, or is there a work-around?

Let me guess you are running visualizations when this happens? Its a few not a bug, sleep gets disabled when visualizations are running so you can watch the pretty colors for hous and hours without getting disturbed.

Uh, no, it disables display sleep whenever something is playing, regardless of the mode you're in, even minimized or hidden.

I've mentioned this on the Apple board, but it's a bug they obviously still haven't fixed yet, and the main reason I don't use it.
