Spent the day at Prescott Speed Hillclimb near Cheltenham.
It was a celebration of French cars and since the hillclimb is owned by the Bugatti Owners Club there were a lot of Bugatti's present. Including four Veyrons and an EB110. All of which were sent up the hill as fast as possible (which in the case of the Veyrons, was not actually that fast).
Also saw Ayrton Senna's old Lotus Renault F1 car. 500kg, 1.5L turbo and 1300bhp. Noisy and very quick.
But not as quick as the fastest car of the day, a Renault 5 Turbo 2!
Lovely and sunny all day. Saw the RAF memorial flight too as a bonus, Spitfire, Lancaster and Hurricane. Now have a nice red face and full determination to get my old Peugeot 104ZS back in action and do some proper hillclimbing in it!
Aaah bank holiday weekends!
