Do Mac fans post on Windows/Linux/etc. websites?

I was just wondering after reading some of the comments that those of the non-Mac/Apple persuasion post on sites like MacNN.
I'm a big Apple fan but I would never waste my time posting negative comments on a non-Mac/Apple web site, deriding Windows or Linux or any other OS.
Do you know anybody who has posted nasty, snide remarks on a Windows site?
Why do people post such drivel?

There are morons who come to Mac sites to get their kicks from starting flame wars. I pity people who need that. Even this board has one or two of the sort who've been around for way too long.
In all fairness it must also be noted that Mac folks who give these idiots what they're looking for are indeed part of the problem. Bottom line, don't feed the troll. Ban 'em instead.

I post on various Linux and FreeBSD sites from time to time, but that's because I use those operating systems on a regular basis as well as OS X.

I posted a poll at some point in the lounge. 50% of people who responded had both a mac and windows box. I would guess if it was redone the numbers wouldn't sway much.

Scaught, you should create a poll on who has more of which box.

I remember that poll. It would be interesting to see an updated version.
I post in a general tech support forum on another site where 85% of the users are PC users. There are occasionally some silly arguments between the mac and PC users, but the mac users never intentionally troll there.

Sadly i have. Cant stand the blind hatred of Apple that is spewed on most sites.... unfortunately. Started just around when Win7 got released and the idiots were all making their noise.

I occasionally post (mostly read) Hacker News ( Hacker News) which is OS-agnostic and way geekier than MacNN, and what amazes me is how much these guys (and a few gals) most hate fanboys (of whatever) - and how nearly half are Mac users. They raise questions about *all* systems and IT-manufacturing policies/trends.
Another interesting trend: I bet that 10 years ago, few C/C++/Haskell/Erlang/etc programmers would have bothered with a Mac. ...or even during the pre-Intel-Mac days. Serving the hacker/geek community with excellent products has done for Apple what PC-hating never could have.
