WaterField Designs has announced its new case for iPhone 6, the Spinn leather holster. Composed of full-grain leather, the Spinn case features a patent-pending wheel designed to keep one's headphones organized and untangled. The interior of the case is lined with scratch-free Ultrasuede for added cushioning protection, and cleans the iPhone's screen when inserted and removed from the case. Available in black, "chocolate" or "grizzly," the Spinn leather holster is can be pre-ordered now for $60 as-is, and $70 with an added belt clip. Shipping is due to begin in October.

BuQu Tech launches PowerArmour iPhone 6 battery case

BuQu Tech has announced the upcoming launch of its new battery case for iPhone 6. Featuring a unibody shell exterior, the PowerArmour aims to provide supplemental power without adding physical bulk. Its slide-lock mechanism allows users to install and remove the iPhone without risking scratches, and its built-in LED fuel gauge displays battery power. The case includes a power-saving on/off switch that conserves available battery when not in use. Anticipated to be available November 2014, the PowerArmour battery case will be priced at $80.

All Apple's efforts to make the iPhone 6 slim and beautiful with a long lasting battery are for what? Just so some lunkhead can make a bulky homely case with a massive battery to 'compensate' for Apple's 'poor design'?

Speaking for myself alone, I've never had the need for a battery case -- but I don't use my phone as my primary entertainment center, either. Watching a movie on the commute to and from work, and using it constantly during the day, might require a power casing.
