What would you like to know? I bought about five of these for my business -- I'm just starting out. However, I realize that I don't have the money at this stage to have this many, and it is kind of overkill. So, I'm trying to sell them... is the price too low? Cause I'll gladly raise it

Do you have anyone to vouch for you, or perhaps an ebay feedback of some sort? I would be surprised if someone other than a local buyer would take the risk without more information.

When were these machines purchased, as current revision PowerBooks have been out for nearly 6 months, and purchase date affects warranty.

Also, can you guarantee absence of dead/stuck pixels, etc?

i think someone from this forum will be buying one -- we haven't finalized yet ... he will vouch for me, and i also have an ebay account: 3verynameistaken (not that good, i know) ... you can email that user name saying 'what is your macnn user name' or something, and i will respond...

i actually bought them from someone else, not apple so i don't have receipts, so i dont know for sure if they are the newest model. is there any noticeable differences between the new ones, and the ones from six months ago? (performance-wise or something?) ... if not, i'll contact who i bought them off of.

yeah you have two choices: 1. you can allow me to open it, and start it up and make sure everythings working, or 2. you can get it and if there's something wrong you'll have to ship it back

if you choose 1 and theres something wrong with it, i'll just send you another one...

hope that helps...

Your English are not so good. Where are you from? Shipping from?

You say you bought 5 of them, and bought too many so you are keeping 2 of them.

$2,500 for a 17" powerbook maxed out to 2gb ram?

$3,549.00 from Apple direct. There is no way in my opinion you are legit, based on your posts here and specifications of the units. Nobody takes a $1k hit on a new computer because they "Bought too many and cannot afford them."

That's $3k US that you are eating.. which is a brand new 17" powerbook, with 1gig ram stick in it.

I call BS, but that is just my oppinion.
Your Ebay account checks out with 45 feedbacks at 100%, but that can be manipulated with small buys and sells, so it really doesn't prove Jack.

Sorry to say that, I'm not trying to be rude, but I am trying to be protective of my fellow MacNNers.

I also had a funny notion when you responded to my post stating "Am I pricing too low"? That seemed a bit cocky, and out of place.

sorry if my english is not good enough for you, or the members. i don't know what else you want me to say -- i gave you my ebay address, and you're not even saying that's good enough. do you really think i would sell 45 'small' things, just so i can try to sell some laptops on a mac forum that i will need the help of A LOT in the future? basically i've sold previous computers, clothes, random things around the house, and the largest thing was a huge slot car track (3,000 it went for iirc) ... imo, i use my account the same way a lot of other people do.

i wasn't trying to be rude at all -- i was honestly wondering if i was selling for too high. i'm obviously not selling for too low because i haven't sold any yet. 2500 is about what they go for on ebay, and i figured i would try to sell them on here first, that way i wouldn't have to pay fees... i would GLADLY sell them for 3k, but in reality, i don't think i could

sorry you feel that way, bro

http://search.ebay.com/Powerbook-17-...ptopQQsbrsrtZl

The one with the $2,500 buy it now?
Only 512mb Ram.

---
Show me where you can get a machine like you list here for $2,500.00 on ebay.

17-inch TFT display, 1440x900 resolution
1.5GHz PowerPC G4 processor, 512K level 2 cache
512MB DDR333 SDRAM; supports up to 2 GB
80GB hard drive
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 64MB of DDR SDRAM
Gigabit Ethernet
FireWire 400 & 800 ports
Digital/analog audio in, headphone port
DVI & S-Video output ports; DVI to VGA adapter included
Dual link DVI
Slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW)
Lithium–ion battery for up to 4.5 hours of running time
Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet & 56K V.92 modem
Built-in AirPort Extreme Card for wireless networking (802.11g)
Built-in Bluetooth 1.1
Backlit illuminated keyboard and ambient light sensor
2 USB 2.0 ports

---

BTW: I'm not attacking your use of English, but it is one tell that one looks for when trying to identify possible problems with sales of equipment such as this.

===

Regarding the sales on Ebay, there is just too much fraudulent sellers just to get ratings. I'm not saying you have done this, but it just doesn't help when coupled with other things that raise flags for me personally, and this is a forum and I am entitled to my oppinion. I have nothing to gain as I am not selling anything or do I plan on doing so. Read (no conflict of interest). I'm looking out for others here. You should respect that. If you are being honest, great.

Post pictures of the computers, etc. like this was an auction on Ebay.

I don't feel anyway about it, except I think you owe it to post more photos etc. and if people want to bid against each other, the better for you, no? (On Ebay, there is Square Trade for protection, in here, there is none...)

the problem is i can't find any with 2gb on ebay, just 1gb... i watched some 1gb's and they went for ~2200 -- i thought a fair price for mine would be 2500.

i will take, and post pictures later (i haven't yet). i'm not allowed to let people on here bid for them, i think that's against the rules. (i think you have to set a price)

honestly, i think i'll just put them on ebay

thank you
