The story so far...
I got this eMac 1Ghz G4 from a person that told me it got a power glitch. It did not boot at all.
I replaced the down converter board and then it came back to life. Only one problem.
Now it wont recognize the harddisk or the CDROM (flashing question mark on the screen).

To date I have tried replacing the logicboard and the digital/analog board still no HD or CDROM.

The HDD boots up fine on my external firewire drive on my minimac.

I found a problem checking the voltage at the CDROM power cable I get no +12vdc (reads +5 on both side of the cable). Could it be the new down converter board is faulty????

I can not seem to get a block diagram of this system to let me know exactly where it gets its +12vdc from. BTW I have checked the voltage output on the analog/digital board (blind mate connector) at pins 7 and 8 both read 12.5vdc.

I cant seem to give up at this point but dont know what else to do...
Can anyone help this is driving me crazy....
Dennis
