Hey all,
I always click to lock network preferences so a password is needed to make a change. After starting my computer I check it and it is unlocked even though I had locked it before shutting down.
Why is this happening? Thanks

Are you running an account that is an administrator? Did you recently switch from being a normal account to an administrator? If so, administrator accounts have control panels unlocked by default that aren't unlocked to normal users.

It's my computer, I'm the only one that uses it so I assume I am an administrator. That would explain it, if I'm logged in then it doesn't bother to keep it locked I guess.
I thought it was odd because every other thing I locked in system preferences stayed locked except that one
