As a helpful christmas gift primer?

I'm sure we all have brothers, sisters, parents, etc to shop for. Has anything caught your eye or do you own something so awesome it's worth sharing. Hopefully I can scan the list and pick up some useful gift ideas without having to go shopping.

Here's a first one: I think my brother would like one of these wallets:

or via https://theblackfeathers.com cos you can buy them on vinyl there.

I've recommended this a few times in the past, but it's just as relevant as ever.

The Card Ninja.

This is most useful for the wimmins, who generally have a combo of giant wallets and those ridiculous tiny pockets.

Other companies make a similar thing, Card Ninja was just the first. The only downside is the spandex-like material stretches out of shape after awhile and it will need a replacement.

Another standard is the portable battery. I used to go Powergen, but they folded. Anker seems to have picked up the reins.

This is the one I have. I get at least a couple full phone charges out of it. Amazon sells a 6" lightning cable which pairs nicely.

Edit: whoops! 4"

I forget if I ever mentioned these...

Cordies by Quirky. They keep cables from sliding off the table. They're awesome. Amazon has them.

This is the version I have, but there are cheaper ones.

Here's a (dusty) one in the wild on my nightstand.

do the cordies come with adhesive? I got something similar from staples but it just gets pulled off the desk by the weight of the cords.

It's weighted.

I've never had a slippage problem, but I usually only have one or two cords attached.

I got these

https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technic...ds=Ath-anc40bt

on a Black Friday sale. They are impressive for the price. Just got home from a short business trip, and they're great when travelling. The NC isn't as good as a over-the-ear ANC (like the ATH-AC7, which I have, or Bose QC25) but they are a lot more convenient.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Great recommendations. I ordered the Card Ninja and another called Card Buddy in leather.....that one only holds 3 cards but with my debit, credit cards, and loyalty cards all on ApplePay/Wallet now, you really don't need much in the way of cards any more (just a charger haha). I also got a Cordies ripoff that is smaller/circular (as I'm thinking of spots like night tables which only have two cables max for the most part).

Speaking of chargers, I also grabbed a retractable Lightning cable which seemed great in theory. I can't really recommend it though. I didn't realize that you have to pull from both ends to unwind - so the pulley stays in "the middle" and the USB and lightning cables move outward on each side. I was hoping to stick it in a compartment in the car and simply pull it out when I want to plug in the phone, but that won't really work now.

Recommendations to follow

Something I do for the car, at least as a spare in the glovebox, is get a micro-USB cable, and put a micro-USB to Lightning tip on it... now, someone in the car has an Android, they're set.

This is absolutely genius! No more having to duck under the desk when I need to disconnect a device to reset it and the cord falls onto the floor.

I suggest this little powerstrip for your AC and USB needs, works very well!
