Per TUAW, many dot Mac subscribers are reporting that their [email protected] email address is working for their primary account and aliases. I checked, and mine is working. Email sent to [email protected] shows up in my inbox. :-)

Just thought I'd pass it along...looks like MobileMe and iPhone 2.0 are coming soon, hopefully this week!

I'm still betting on July 11 for everything, just because it's Apple.

Maybe...but I hope not. I'd like to get iPhone 2.0 and MobileMe ASAP to play with it and decide if I want to upgrade to iPhone 3G. If everything came out on the 11th, it'd be sensory overload.

Mine doesn't work. It gets returned with a fatal error:

I keep listening to the back of my head, waiting for some reason for me to bother with changing from mac to me.

Still waiting.

If this were a whole new name-space, then maybe I'd grab a new one to play with, but since it's already populated with all the mac.com names already, I don't see any need. I already have about 30 email addresses already which funnel into either mac or gmail. About the only ones I've abandoned are the .uucp address and a few companies who've gone out of business.

I got it the first time. You were wanting it to say "Blow Me Dot Com" really badly, but realized it wouldn't quite work because everyone says "at" me dot com. But you thought it was close enough to be funny.

It wasn't.

Where is that smiley that flips people off when you need it?

It's just meant to be silly, not comic genius.

And I've already re-upped my .mac so I'm not knocking the service.

Back on topic: my @me address is not working yet.

I've read that if you create an alias, it will cause your .me address to be active for some reason. If you haven't tried that, it might be worth a shot.

Mine is working.

I do have a couple of aliases but didn't try them. When I sent a test email, I used my main login.

Try setting up a new alias, then email your regular [email protected] and see if you have any luck.

Since today is the 1 year anniversary of the iPhone, and MobileMe email has basically gone live already...anyone want to speculate if the iPhone 2.0 software update and OS X 10.5.4 will go live this week, or do you all think it will hit on July 11?

Well, last year Mac users needed 10.4.10, which was release 6.20.2007. Apple is recommending 10.5.4 as well as iTunes 7.7 for the App store and the new iPhone, so those may get released early. Not sure about the iPhone software though. Apple may wait until that day to release it.

What are you, 105? Fart and poop jokes keep you young. I say the world needs more of these.

Apple just released 10.5.4, which is required for mobileme. So who knows, maybe they will activate it before July 11.

(my me.com address is working as of today)

Mine wasn't working this morning; it is now. Something to do with 10.5.4 upgrade maybe?
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?
