what is the replacement in Leopard for this app? How does one determine the Base Station ID of the WiFi signal you're using?

To get the SSID of your wifi connection, just click the airport icon in your menu bar:
Leopard's replacement for Internet Connect is the Network preferences pane, which allows you to set up connections and will let you click 'connect' from there if using a dial-up modem. These things are also available from the menu bar, if not by default then via an option in Network.

In the network prefpane, you can choose your Airport network, select Advanced, and find the Airport ID.
Or you can hold the option key down while you open the airport menu extra and it will be displayed.

No, I know the SSID is displayed under the Airport Menu item, nothing new there. I'm looking for the router's MAC address, the Network Pref pane is showing the laptop Airport card's MAC address.
