I just got my first christmas present, which I well... ordered myself. My first Electric Guitar. Anyway, It is an Agile AL-2000 that I ordered when it was on sale for $99.99. Total shipped was $122.18. Now I have one question. It has 2 volume and 2 tone knobs. Why? The two on top appear to be volume, but do they specifically adjust volume for the independent tone knobs? I just don't understand the duplicity.
Here is the agile product page

And Pics
Here it is next to the 1980 Guild D-25
And a close up of the Agile.

2 pickups, each with its own volume/tone. The 3-way switch toggles between bridge, both, and neck pickups, and the tone/volume knobs impact the sound of the selected pickups.

Yes I have heard Agile makes decent guitars for cheap. Excellent first guitar.

Oh yes -- I meant to tell you to enjoy your new guitar and have fun learning/playing.
Do you have an amp to play through?

You know Rail, I have a Marshall half stack in my music room, but 90% of the time I am playing my electric unplugged just sitting around the house watching a movie or whatever.

I used to have several amps: Carvin half-stack, Marshall Combo, Peavey, etc. When I moved back to my home town, I sold all of them and was "ampless" for quite some time. I recently remedied this by buying a Traynor tube amp (which freaking rocks). It's only 20 watts, but it works perfectly for practice and when mic'd — though it's actually loud enough to be heard over an acoustic drum kit in a gym.
I always like plugging in, myself, so I can fart with the tones, etc. I use my Taylor when I want to play "acousticly." Of course, I'm currently in a couple of bands, so I'm always tweaking tones and sounds.

Yeah traynors sound nice.
My 50w Half Stack has a switch in the back that takes it to 25w. I usually keep it there.

I have a Crate CR-45 that I got with the Guild and a similarly aged acoustic pickup. The amp is 25 years old and really looks like they cut a crate in half and jammed a speaker in it. Classic. When I first plugged the guitar in it sounded pretty wonky but after messing with the tone knobs I got a pretty clean sound out of it. I'm going to have a friend with more electric experience check the amp out for me later this week. The finish on the Agile is nearly perfect, and looks a lot better than a bunch of the guitars that I'd looked at for 3x as much in the local guitar center. The only problem is there is one area of the fretboard near the inlays that is darker than the rest, but it requires near microscopic inspection to notice.

Sometimes I'm sittin' around playin' my acoustic jet-black Takamine ThunderF*ck Special and I suddenly feel the need for VOLUME. So I whip out the medium-gauge Fender pick and start strummin' REAL HARD!!! GAH!!! SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!
