This poll is only for expressing your preference for Coke or Pepsi. If you drink neither, don't vote or vote for the "lesser of two evils".
My vote: Coke.
I want my $5!!!

Pepsi is the choice of a new generation. Coke is for the old.
and the stupid. and the ugly. You aren't old, stupid, or ugly, are you?
Edit: A public poll. I love you.

You're missing a choice - neither
I don't drink any colas. I used too and it was coke, but now in my obsessively healthy perspective I avoid soda.

Pepsi is for people who don't care about taste and give into marketing.

Coke. Pepsi is sweeter, less carbonated and induces spontaneous cerebral hemorrhages in pre-teens.

Either Pepsi or Cola Zero (I don't like sugar in my coke and the sugar-free Pepsi tastes better than its opponent). Cola Zero is pretty sweet too, so I like it.

That was to be expected. However, if this was a diet Coke vs. diet Pepsi poll I would have voted for diet Pepsi.

Edit: I'd like to add that Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper taste almost the same, unlike the diet drinks of Pepsi and Coke.

Seriously, who is this passionate about soft drinks?!?!
If I went to someone's house and all they offered me was Pepsi, I wouldn't spit in their face. Actually, I'd probably drink it with relish. We don't buy soda pop very often. You see, my wife is a health nut and that makes me a vegetarian... errr

Considering Coca Cola has already won the soda wars, I always choose Coke. You Pepsi drinkers better enjoy it while it's still around.

I voted for Pepsi. I have been a pepsi guy first and foremost. However, for me 2008 is "The Year without Soda", so I'm not going to be drinking soda anytime soon. For what it's worth, I preferred a Coca-cola slurpee over the Pepsi one (where available)

I think Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper holds the record for longest soft drink name.

Either you're crazy, or your humor is lost on me. I'd vote for the latter, but I've seen the Blu-Ray thread, so I'll stick with undecided.

What about the VHS lovers?!?! I'll bet they like wal-mart cola and claim it's as good as coke or pepsi.

Neither. Boylan's Sugar Cane Cola.
But if I must choose Coke or Pepsi, I'll take Coke from Mexico.

I feel special because I kinda understand what you're saying. I remember drinking Coke when I was in the Bahamas, and the cinnamon taste was over-whelming.
Also, I seem to recall people talking about how different sodas taste now that they use corn-syrup instead of sugar for sweetner. I'm curious what the old stuff tasted like.

Coke > Pepsi
Diet Pepsi > Diet Coke
Coke Zero > Every other diet cola
So Coke takes it...
That said, Pepsi is fine. It's not that big of a deal.

I voted for Coke. However, if you can find it, try Mexican Coke. They've been selling it at Costco in 24 packs in the classic glass bottle. The primary difference is that Mexican Coke is made with sugar, not HFCS. I can clearly taste the difference.
EDIT: I started this post, but got sidetracked.

Jones Soda (most if not all) is made with cane sugars.

Weird, they added too much cinnamon. Coca-Cola is usually pretty good at making sure that the syrup is pretty standard no matter where you buy it. Usually the only difference between U.S. Coke and non-U.S. Coke is that in America they use high fructose corn syrup, while most other places use cane sugar. I also like the cane sugar variety better than the corn syrup kind.
Cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, or pouches (like in Brazil) can also change the flavor.

Big plus if it's a Mexican glass bottle, made with sugar cane, instead of corn syrup!

Yes, they are both technically sugar; but that's how they get labeled.
Anyway, the reason soda in the US uses mostly corn syrup is due lobbying by the US sugar industry which created extremely high tariffs on imported sugar. The corn industry took up the slack and they naturally don't want to see their end of the deal disappear either. It really sucks because cane sugar tastes a hell of a lot better and is probably better for you also.
The rest of the world is smart, and thus sugar is cheap outside the US. So they use a lot more of it in Coke produced outside the US.
Also, Coke has many different recipes around the world. Each forumula is based on regional palates and whether or not a culture of refrigeration exists there. So US Coke is different from Mexican Coke, which is different from Indian Coke, which is different from Brazilian Coke, which is different from Columbian co...uhhh...you get the point.
