Just bought one today, charging it right now. Is the scroll whell supposed to be flush with the buttons or about 1/8"lower? Just wondering cause I can't seem to move the wheel at all.

The "wheel" on new iPods is actually a sort of touch pad (like on a laptop), so you won't be able to actually, physically move it. It should be recessed in slightly from the buttons around it.
