I think you can go into a Apple Store with a blank CD-R... they will let you burn a copy.

I'm not 100% about that...

so here i am on cable, so i could care less about how much there is to download. good job on apple's behalf for all the dialup users, with offering it on cd.

but. i am confused. is this update going to be offered on software update? if not, i will place my order today, but i am not in the mood to drop $30, especially since i just bought a digital camera yesterday

Of course there will be a download. There is also a pattern emerging here. Update the core 10.X.Y to a point were that specific OS is bug free and than move to the next OS. In fact, we are still running 10.1.5 on some machines and it is a good OS.
Yes, I know I could buy a PC, but why?

Yep this disk better be an 'option' I live in the UK the last 'free' update cd wasn't available anyware near me. Big updates is one of the reasons for me shelling out the 25 per month for cable.

It says right on the ordering page that it is also available via software update.
I suspect we should see it sometime today.

It's a typo folks!
In the other languages it says 10.2.4 CD.
Sorry to dissappoint you

We will have to wait a little longer for 10.2.5.

The feature set is is different to that listed for 10.2.4. And how do you explain the missing KB article. I don't think it is a typo, the other stores just haven't updated yet.

I checked out the Apple Store UK page and this is what it says:

"Mac OS X 10.2.4 Update CD
13.99
The Mac OS X v10.2.4 Update CD includes the Delta and Combined software updates to Mac OS X v10.2. The 10.2.4 update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for the applications, utilities, and technologies of Mac OS X."

Either you people in the US are a little ahead of the rest of the world (no specfiic reference to the situation in the Gulf intended) or it is, indeed, a typo.....
