since installing 10.2 this weekend i have had very few problems. however, i recently tried to change a font in a word x document and it did not give me what i selected - each time i choose a new font i get a different font from what i've selected. anyone have some idea what is going on here and how to fix it. please don't tell me i have to wait to ms updates office again...

Try removing the Normal template (file "Normal" in the "Microsoft Office X" / Templates folder.

If that doesn't help, try removing files "Office Font Cache", "Microsoft Office Settings (10)", "Word Font Substitutes", and "Word Settings (10)" from your home Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder.

(If either doesn't help, put them back so you don't lose the settings they contain.)

removing the Normal template worked for me...thanks car1son
