Hello,
does anyone have news from Roxio re an update for Toast Ti to run on 10.2? i have the updates to 5.1.4. Im formatiing a new Dual this weekend and wonder if I should make a 10.1.4(5) partition if Roxio is going to be a long time with the update. there were rumors as always that the company is not that healthy.

'thanks rotuts

I'd backup your 10.1.5 to a different partition, anyway, just in case you need to revert. I had to run the installer for 10.2 a couple times before I had it tuned. (first I ran the update, then decided to archive and install, then forgot to exclude the extra language packages, etc) If you've got 10.1.5 on another partition, it's no big deal to wipe your 10.2 install, C.C.Clone 10.1 back over, etc.

No idea about toast, but it's okay for data files, I think although audio is definitely messed up.

i've had no problems with toast 5.1.4 in 10.1.5, 10.2, or 10.2.1

in fact, just burned some CD's using toast (since my TDK 16x external FW STILL isn't supported by iTunes/discburner ) after upgrading to 10.2.1. works fine. jam works fine under jag also.

I've burned lots of CD-Rs with toast 5.1.2 in 10.2 and no problems as yet. Maybe that bug isn't consistent, or maybe I've been lucky...

but like i said, no problems here. just on a whim, i burned some mp3's to audio CD, burned a jam project, copied an audio disc, and burned some data files, just now, burning disc at once. all work fine. what is the known bug? what happens at the end of the burns, does it quit, get an error, screw up your music?

here's my setup:

G4 450 Sawtooth
2.0 Gb RAM
OS X.1.2
Toast 5.1.4
Jam 5.01
TDK CDRW161040 External Firewire
Pioneer DVR-A03 Internal (Superdrive)

I've gotten an error with that too, but here's a little known secret:

.toast and .dmg are exactly the same thing. Either rename it to be .dmg and have disk copy mount it or manually tell disk copy to mount it. It works fine.

I couldn't use my SCSI CDR with 10.2, but it works again in Toast with 10.2.1 (on disk images anyway -- that's all I ever burn).

Do NOT drag the image to the Toast window or click the "Select..." button. Go under the "Utilities" menu, and select "Mount Disc Image..." instead. This will prevent the error 50 or whatever it was.

If I do a disk copy of an audio disk the burn will stop 2 seconds before the end. No error, it just sits there for ever and you have to force quit. Many people have reported this problem.
