Any ideas how I get my boss to stop smirking! I'm the Mac Guru, and having linked and uploaded Powerpoint files to our web site at http://www.aasb.org with my Mac and Golive. I find that they are only viewable through a Windows machine? Is this a 'Bull Gates' conspiracy!

On Windows, IE is capable of rendering PPT files within the html page (probably a DOM component - in any event a windows .dll is behind it). It is quite possible that IE on Mac does not offer this functionality yet.
A cross platform way to circumvent the problem is to convert your PPT files into Flash files. To that effect, check the following software:
http://www.iceweb.com/site/pages/iceslide.cfm
Alternatively, you may want to instruct your Mac users to add a File Helper application to the .ppt extension (i.e. PowerPoint itself; check the Preferences in both IE and Netscape).
Hope this helps,
Yann.

Tried it and they open fine in Powerpoint X. Do you mean you can watch them in IE on windows?
