While I am hoping that this is sarcasm, I don't feel that it is. Catholicism is the foundation of Christianity. I'm not trying to sound like a zealout, but that is the case. It is also interesting that Christianity sprang from Judaism. After all, Jesus was Jewish.

Err, surely The Christ (greek for messiah) was the foundation of Christianity..?

Paul was the foundation of the church (and being a Jew from Turkey he wrote in greek) and the romans were the foundation of Roman Catholicism...

easy.

Heh heh heh. If you think Roman Catholicism has anything to do with Christianity, you're sadly mistaken. Roman Catholicism has to do with worshipping the Pope and whoever else he deems is important.

"Blessed by the Pope!" What a crock of sh!t. It's a business, nothing more.

Oh jebus. I think you people need a history lesson. Paul was not the foundation of the Church. Sure he helped convert a large amount of people and also helped them and many others to keep their faith. But there was already an established higherarchy and a devout base of followers in the early church. Not to mention the fact that the belief that Jesus Christ was the Son of God is generally considered the foundation of the Church.

As for the corruption of the popes, that mainly occured after the Roman Catholic Church was formed. Essentially, all forms of Christianity branch off from the Roman Catholic Church. Since it was the first organized church, does that make it superior? Of course not. But let's not deny its place in history. After all, if it weren't for the shortcomings of the RCC then we wouldn't have the Greek Orthodox Church, Lutheranism, or any other major branch of Christianity.

You have to separate the rhetoric from the facts. Then you can intelligently debate the issue.

I've also been guilty of pride although don't think that's in there. Pride can **** you up.

There's a reason they wrote these "rules" into the Bible. It's not so much that you even believe that these are "Gods word" but the simplest rules to live by.

The better rule of the bible is the golden rule "do unto others as you would have others do unto you". Sadly, it's tough to practice and tough to find people who follow this rule anymore.

As Carlin says this one (Coveted my Nieghbors belongings) is just plain Stupid. It helps keep the economy going leave it alone.

Hist take on the 10 commandments is right on I think. There really isn't much to dispute in it.
