I have an Apple 20" Cinema Display Widescreen Monitor. When I use the CADD software Vectorworks 2008, the drawing space blinks visual "static" across my drawing every time I zoom, move, or click on anything. This occurs when my resolution is at the optimal 1680 x 1050 but doesnt happen when i back down the resolution. Any thoughts as to how to fix this and keep the high resolution i desire?

ABoarman, do you have any other computers you can test the monitor on?

That sounds indeed as if your graphics card is faulty. Perhaps it just runs very hot, though. Can you try with other 3d apps? (Just download demos of games, for instance.)
Just to be on the safe side, can you check with different monitors?
