Here is our set-up at work:
Mac Pro
X-Serve + RAID 5 and ...

So basically we had our Mac Pro running FCP pro and we stored our projects on a RAID 5 connected through an X-Serve. We purchased a new RAID 5 set up, and moved our old RAID 5 and directly connected it to the Mac Pro, and set up our new RAID 5 connected to our X-Serve. We then copied the data on the old RAID 5 to the new RAID 5, and they both currently have the same data on them.
Now whenever we boot up the Mac Pro, the first thing it says is "X-Serve RAID" volume cannot be mounted, even though that volume is mounted. We cannot start FCP or other programs such as CS2. All the scratch disks on FCP are set to the Mac Pro's OS hard drive. Why does the Mac Pro look for our RAID 5 volume on start up, and whenever we launch a program? We tried renaming the RAID 5 volumes to the original "X-Serve RAID" name, but that doesn't seem to work.
Both RAID 5 volumes mount fine. We did repair each volume in disk utility, and this does not help. How can we get OSX not to look for our RAID 5 volume on start-up?
EDIT: all programs are installed on the Mac Pro's OS hard drive, not on either of the RAID 5 volumes.
