I'll have to wait till I get home to take a look at the trailer. I'm assuming there are vehicles now, since Dakar is commenting that it's looks like Homefront 2.
I likely won't be getting it. I'll likely be on Halo 4.
Ok. I just checked out the description on Wiki and I see the storyline is involves China and the US in a cold war. It seems to involve alot of robots and unmanned vehicles.

Yeah, I saw the trailer on TV. Looks impressive.
But I got too much to play at the moment. I'm playing Assassin's Creed III (SP & MP), I'll be picking up HALO 4 today, and i've been finishing off Crackdown 2 achievements (even bought the DLC).

9.3 from IGN.
I don't care about the antipathy...I preordered and will be shooting some folks tonight. I just didn't want to stand in the cold with 300 neckbeards at 1 AM.

Yeah, don't spend your money on it. Its just Blops 1 with new maps and a new menu layout. Feels the same, shoots the same. Disappoints the same.

Hey now, you knew I was big into the zombie mode, hell I still pop Black Ops in once and a while to slaughter some undead. Eventually means once I've already played AC3, Dishonored, etc and/or if I get some video game related gift cards for Xmas. Don't expect me to pick it up anytime soon.

I'm being melodramatic. I blame cheezy. My only legit worry is you'll probably try the multi out of curiosity, so I have to hope it sucks.

I had put the disk back in the case, with receipts ready to trade it in. I even got to the shop at lunch time. It stayed in my bag.
After 2 games tonight, I now know that I made a mistake.

Bah...I like it. The new points-based killstreaks are a huge improvement.
The 10-point class balancing system adds another layer of strategy to the load outs, kill confirmed has been tweaked to encourage breakneck-paced action for the twitchy types out there, the maps are really good (although still a bit overly complex, as has been the case for three CoD games in a row now), and the weapons, items, etc. feel new because of the futuristic setting.
Also, the sound of the guns has been highly improved.

I was expecting my friends list to be filled with people playing blops 2. Over the past 2 nights, I've had no more than 2 or 3 people playing the game. Most of my friends are still on Halo 4 or Borderlands 2.

You haven't seen Halo 4... trust me, it's different enough to count...
I don't think people would be playing Halo 4 unless it set itself apart from the previous Halos, which I think it's done.
But in one way, your right, it isn't new, they just haven't oversaturated the gaming community, like they have with COD (ie too many COD titles in such a short time frame.

I couldn't get more than 35€ (I paid 60€) for the game as a trade in. So I didn't. Even if I bought other new games (even pre-orders).
I have a feeling that Blops2 will fail, for various reasons.
Tempted to try zombies and hope that I don't feel as ripped off as I do.

If in 3 or 4 months there are more people playing Blops2 then other games on Maj Nelson's lists (btw Dakar thats your responsibility), I'll post a picture of myself in a mankini.

It was apparently the biggest selling media thingy in history. Can it repeat that? I wouldn't think so.
Dunno what your friends list is like, but those MW2/3 and Blops whores are not all playing/buying Blops2. About 60% from what I see.

Leonard is right in saying Halo 4 is huge evolution in terms of gameplay. The only disappointment I have with it is that it's still 3-4 years behind Blops2 in load out customization and rewards. There's no real satisfaction in leveling up because you cannot tell the different in the endless number of helmets and armor upgrades when you're shooting a guy in Halo 4 -- everything is just a blur of red and blue. The gameplay makes up for it in the end, but I don't know if its longevity will match that of Blops 2.
Lastly, I know every review is saying this, but the guns (and gun audio) are the real stars of Halo 4.

So those that loved it at first have calmed down a bit. Some even say that they hate it. I can either have wonderful games or horrible games. Maps are very good, but like Blops1 and MW3 difficult to hold a position since limited choke points. Network stuff is as screwed up as previous CoDs. I can have 4 green bars and feel the lag. I can have 3 yellow bars and have a great game.
The way that the load-out works is very good, you basically have 10 spaces/slots and you organise your attachments, nades, perks etc to fill up the 10 slots. For example, I have 3 things on my rifle, no secondary and no nades, but 4 perks. The ability to have 2, 2nd level perks and over-equip your assault rifle takes up 2 of the slots.
The more powerful sniper rifles give one shot kills in the chest with a silencer. Finally. Hacking equipment is fun, especially when its a bouncing betty and the previous owner is close enough to it to set it off. Air support doesn't seem to be the rapage that it was. So far there doesn't seem to be an over-powered setup. Of course it is early days.
Overall, very balanced.

Some servers that allow you to play online were down over the weekend. I know at least 20 people in the UK who were impacted.
Probation warnings for quitting games early - even when you don't. Some guy got over 14 years probation.
Latest patch on the Xbox seems to have led to even more network issues.
Ended up playing Forza last night.

For those that care, I've gone 100% hard core. No more standard games, not even accepting invites from my clan for std stuff. Since I live (sort of) in the countryside I don't get a good network connection. But even if the wife uses the TV (which shares the bandwidth) and I play hc tdm there are no issues. If wifey isn't watching TV and I try to play std tdm, the network is terrible. This reminds me of later MW and MW2 issues.
Its quite clear that Treyarch STILL don't know how to do network code. You can be in a game with everyone having 4 green bars and you see people skating across the maps. Then there'll be a host migration. Then another one. And then everyone has 1 red bar. This is usually in the gametypes with the most players like std tdm or domination.
The grind of weapon attachments is gone. When you prestige you keep your weapon level, which is good. I haven't prestiged a weapon yet though - this is different to prestiging the player. And each prestige lets you keep a weapon as well as a class slot. You can also keep the tokens from the previous level but I haven't tried this yet.

Honestly, I've had very few problems with lag. It crops up every now and then, but setting the search filter for "best" has given my group about a 95% chance of getting into a good match.
I just moved, and was without Internet for about 8 or 9 days, so I'm going to be a bit rusty, but I'm looking forward to getting back on. You would know that I moved on a Double XP weekend.

Also, my brother-in-law is hilarious to play alongside. He's nearing Master Prestige.

To be perfectly honest AC3 hasn't really gotten its claws into me enough and I'm still very clumsy with the controls. I guess I just thirst for something 'new' and at this point CoD is actually that hilariously enough. Besides Halo 3's epic NN meetups I don't think I've ever had as much fun as when we ran as a crew during the MW2 days. I long for that level of collaboration when we play Bf3, but we just don't have the numbers.
