Hi everyone
After seeing a post about a patent on the glass staircases at Apple's retail stores, I noticed something interesting in the patent filing... go to the patent page and scroll right to the end, to section [0061]:
glass staircase manufacturing method patent
The most interesting part was the references to the LED-lit housing patents that Apple also filed a few years ago:
The invention described herein may be used to form one or more walls of a computer housing or it may be used to form a window in one or more walls of the computer housing.
When used as a component of a housing, the invention described herein is particularly useful in U.S. patent application Ser. No. 10/075,964, titled "ACTIVE ENCLOSURE FOR COMPUTING DEVICE," filed on Feb. 13, 2002, and U.S. patent application Ser. No. 10/075,520, titled "COMPUTING DEVICE WITH DYNAMIC ORNAMENTAL APPEARANCE," filed on Feb. 13, 2002, both of which are herein incorporated by reference.
What do you think?
Will we see a glass PowerMac?
Mike

Are those pipes just structural? Or are they part of a water cooling system?
Never mind.
