I finally cleaned up my desk, and figured I'd better take a photo, because it won't last long:

My current setup (sorry about the messy desk)...
2.66GHz 4-core Mac Pro, 6GB RAM, 2TB storage, Radeon HD 2600XT running 24" LG 246W display, GeForce 7300GT running 2 x Dell 20" 2001FP displays, silver Creature II speakers. iPhone dock hidden by coffee cup.

Not pictured is a black MacBook 2.2GHz, 4GB RAM, 160GB HD.
Behind the desk (with a remote switch) is a DVI switch box so I can connect the MacBook to the 24" LG when necessary. The 20" Dell on the left has a VGA cable connected to it so I can connect the MacBook to it as well (in case I need the main display on the desktop at same time). Helpful for rehearsing Keynote presentations.

Wow, we have the exact same monitors. Funny! I wish I could get the Samsung calibrated like the Cinema Display...

Really nice, diotav. Such a lovely elegant desk. Is that your bed at the end... it looks like its not good for TV viewing... that TV looks humungous. Is that a 40".. 42".. 46"... hard to tell.

Everything looks so organized.

Both cost $0.0 btw.

Missing from view are the 12 (6x2) speaker cabinets, a few keyboards, a 64 channel mixer, a printer/scanner.
and a 22" telescope (refractor) sticking out the window.
HOW is that possible? $0
by any chance are you in Japan?

Well I originally had a Mac Mini that I used the 20" display with. I just recently got the Mac Pro and I considered upgrading to a bigger screen but it is really all I need.

It doesn't sound rude at all. Normally people with Mac Pros go with a bigger display.

^^ Heh. At first I didn't see the 360 Elite next to the PS3, so I thought it was a little odd how a PS3 had Xbox Dashboard. Beautiful setup. I don't think I'd ever leave the room if that was in my house.

haha from that picture it kinda does...
there is a slight curve of the top part of the desk where the monitor is, but since this picture i moved the power conditioner on top of the firewire interface that is under the monitor, so the desk no longer sags as it looks like it does

when i get my 2nd 20" monitor, ill post a new pic, i just dont know what to do exactly with the studio speakers

What an awesome article on "The New Power Mac Picture Thread".
I always had my doubts about threads and wanted to know more about it.
Your explanation was elaborate enough to clear my doubts on “Power Mac Picture Thread”.
I am sure it has helped a lot of people out there.

I did the same thing with my G4. The sleep light is so damn bright that I used poster putty to stick a quarter over the power button.

a power conditioner is a rack mountable power regulator usually used for audio equipment

I use it for my Samson R6a studio monitors and firewire audio interface since i have professional audio equipment that needs a better regulator than a surge protector.

and to the perosn who noticed my name, yeah I'm surprised it hasn't been taken on a lot of boards.... BaBaBooey to you all! (especially Stern fans)
