Gingrich, Santorum look to get more mileage from Etch A Sketch flap - CNN.com

Seems that the Etch A Sketch name is catching on.

Romney's campaign manager says: "it's almost like an Etch A Sketch. You can kind of shake it up, and we start all over again."

Now Santorum and Gringrich calls Romeny an Etch A Sketch, to describe Mitt Romney's positions on issues.
Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

I imagine Romney's aide who made that comment has already received a call from Southwest Airlines to star in their next "Want to get away?" commercial.

It's hard to believe all the crap that's happened and we're, what, half-way through the primaries?

This is what you get for having a ****ing 18 month long election season. Shit needs to get shorter, not longer.

Forgive me. Elect Frothy as your republican messiah. All hail fecal matter.

I've been thinking the same thing.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to endure more dog on roof carrier, porn, contraceptives, etch-a-sketch, and the like, and I shudder to think what the campaigns will come up with post-Republican convention.

It's not only arms-race-of-stupid, but it's also a draining grind, like you said... I can only imagine what it is like to those actually involved in either of the campaigns.

Santorum is now the enemy of the Republican Party.

What was there to have a positive impression of in the first place, given that this is the 21st century?

Campaigns are this long simply because they can be, and the longer the campaign lasts the longer the candidates and their friends and family can solicit money from strangers to fly around the country and eat in the best places. It's like having Kickstarter funding for your 18-month-long vacation. (Only with less dog poop on the roof than the typical Romney family vacation.)

How does the dog on the roof thing work, anyway? What would be keeping the dog from falling off the roof?

Etch A Sketch takes advantage of the situation and launches ad campaign.

Etch A Sketch launches ad campaign - Yahoo! News

"We have a left knob and a right knob for each political party," reads another. "(But remember, when both work together, we can do loop de loops.)"
