Hi all,
So who's going to be there? MikeM32? Any other Jersey people?

Duh. Editing doesn't update the date. Bumping so everyone sees it.

Nah, I went to the store in Northern Jersey months ago. I can't justify going to a store without the intention of buying anything.

I was on the fence on whether to go -- I interviewed for a Mac Genius gig there, and got all the way to final interview, then was passed on because they said it came down to not having any actual certifications (I've since fixed that) and their concern that I was somewhat overqualified for the gig.

So going there would be kind of painful, seeing the store manager who interviewed me but passed on me, and more so, seeing the Mac Geniuses and allowing myself to bask in that acid -- thoughts of "what makes them better than me?" and other ultimately self-destructive stuff like that . . .

Then it turned out my cousin invited me down to DC for her graduation party that weekend, so I don't have to agonize over it now, after all. I'll stop by the Short Hiills store another time, I guess . . .

I wanted to go but I have a party that day... Let's hope Apple gets there damn act together and builds a store in South Jersey. I've got some friends that wouldn't mind spending all day there..

I just got email from Apple. Store opens at 10am. What's a good time to get on line so that I'm not there for another 4 hours waiting to get in?

They're still handing out T-shirts for hours after the opening. So you can basically walk in around 1:30 PM or so without a line, and still leave with a shirt.

At least such was the case at Tyson's Corner last year . . .

It's the fun of meeting people on line, and making sure you don't miss out on a shirt . I'll be there early.
