v0id7-
My one favor/request would be if you could make your same them but with the default blue scroll bar, the light blue apple logo and the default blue menu hilite.

That way I don't have to use the graphite version which takes away the colorful icons in OW, the grey you chose is a bit dark for me.

Otherwise, very nice

I love the theme, the only thing I would like to see is Iridium's close, minimize and expand icons instead of the circles. StarfleetX really had some cool ones in the iridium theme!!

Very cool!!! This is the first theme I've tried for OS X, and I'm impressed so far. I especially like the gradient in the menu bar and title bars. And unstriped, transparent menus look very cool. Good work!

just installed it, looks very nice indeed. top work.

just one thing though, i notice it only works when the appearence is set to 'blue', is it possible to allow it to also work when the 'graphite' appearence is selected?

it's just with the 'blue' selected, a number of items (such as buttons in the finder) show up as blue rather than a graphite/quicksilver colour.

again, great work.

Hello!

I'm very new to 10.1, only played with it foe 2 days on a G4 867. I downloaded the MMX thing and couldn't load the Extras.rsr.

I coppied the Extras into the proper folder under 9.2 then restarted into 10.1. Still nothing.

Could someone give me a little step by step to load this?

Thanks

What do I need to edit/create my own theme?

I tried using quick convert to get a resource fork on "Extras.rsrc" but that only showed patterns and would crashed when opened in graphics converter.

Cheers,

Ok so where do I find this sprocket app. I have looked in the usual places (H**l*** & C***a***. I even tried a Google search as a last resort) but came up empty.

I have a few theme Ideas I would like to tryout.

Looks very good, but I noticed a couple problems

1) Menus in dock dont match the rest of the system
2) list.icon and colum icons in finder window are still blue and clash with the rest of the theme...

One more thing. In future releases, do you think you could lighten background grey just a little bit? I have a picuture here of my desktop from when Iridum was just released and I think it lookeds a bit easier on the eyes than yours:

That's weird, the menus in my dock match perfectly and look GREAT! and the blue you are talking about in 2) I think is a preference you set in the General System Preferences called Highlight color.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

I am working on porting my Platinum theme to 10.1 right now.

As for everyone's variations requests, they are all possible. If v0id7 doesn't want to do them I could. I actually did the variation with the Iridium widgets. Did you want the graphite blue ones or the normal red yellow green ones?..

I remember someone was working on a Win XP theme. Is that still in development or is it done?

Installed it yesterday and it's beautiful.
I guess there's no way of actually adding the Themes to have multiple choices yet. Sometimes switching back to Aqua is necessary for me since other inexperienced users in my house need color codin to close or minimize windows.

With Iridium running, I went into my appearance (whatever it's called to lazy to check, but of course writing this excuse probably took longer) and changing to the graphite theme, kept Iridium the same except for the Apple Menu changed to Graphite and the highlighted menu items became graphite. Is there a way to install this Iridium over the Graphite theme and leave the original blue Aqua intact so I could switch back and forth?

Very nice! Even sharp corners, instead of the rounded Aqua corners. I like it!

I'm not conversant with Metamorph, very much... I tried changing the name of the file to Iridium.rsrc, to no avail. What would it take to make this theme Metamorph compliant?

Thanks!

Synotic or Void or anyone, could this be done? I really like this theme except for the background grey, it's too dark. The title bars are awesome, but the toolbar background grey should be lighter like in the original Iridium.

thanks in advance,

Are my eyes deceiving me?! Are there no aqua lines in the menu bar in the iPod Commercial? Themes coming or a change in the interface?

Try and tilt an iBook - the lines disappear because of the LCD.

Just wanted to let you know I took your theme
Iridium Quicksilver and made it so the menus are NOT
transparent.

Not only does it look MUCH BETTER because it is easier
to read without other stuff coming through IMHO
but the menus do indeed pop faster and long lists
like in my favorites menu in IE scroll much faster.

LOL I like transparent stuff but NOT menus.

I want the menu to pop out REAL FAST ,SCROLL FAST
be very quick and easy to read

then disappear real fast!

has anyone ever really needed to look THROUGH
a menu? If you do then why did you head to the menus to begin with?

Also just slide your mouse right or left and select
another menu if you need to see under then slide back and down.

menus sorta have Windowshade built in as well. ; )

later
