Apple has wasted no time in getting advertising out showcasing its latest products. A rare
TV ad promoting the newest Mac portable on Wednesday evening during
Modern Family that featured the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, while
Business Insider caught sight of a billboard in New York City's Meatpacking District
promoting the iPad mini.
A large billboard promoting a product that has as its most distinguishing feature its small size may seem like an odd choice at first, but
MacNN has learned that billboards for the iPad mini have also gone up in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The New York City one is located above Apple's West 14th Street store, and simply shows and names the product.
The TV commercial is reminiscent of previous TV ads for Macs: showing the machine rotating into view, with a kaleidoscope of Apple software being used. The spot, called "Color," highlights Final Cut Pro, Pages, iTunes, Aperture and Mail, primarily showcasing the Retina display's prowess with video and photos. A narrator says that the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is "for the pro in all of us."
