Ok, I am sick and tired of these pop-up advertisements. These guys should be shot. They are completely annoying. Anyone know how to get rid of them? This is not good advertising. The only thing they accomplish is to piss me off.

Some browsers (all but IE?) allow you to turn these off independently.

If you have to use IE for some unknown reason you'll have to turn off scripting completely.

OmniWeb can block pop-ups.
Mozilla can block pop-ups.
Chimera can block pop-ups.

Internet Explorer can't block pop-ups without also completely disabling javascript.

Solution? Don't use Internet Explorer.
The server made a boo boo. (403)

amen, starfleet. how many times do we have to see this pop-ups complaint? Folks need to get a real browser. I use ow and mozilla for the main surfing and activites and *never* get popups, except at the nytimes page. for some reason mozilla from time to time (never consistently) lets a popup slip through. I don't see why a respectable org like the times uses popups anyway. bleh!

that's just such a good trick, why don't you even turn off HTML, then you will be fully sure there will be no pop-ups!
