I just switch from windows, so I don't know nothing about Mac.
Do I have to join .mac or have an AIM account to use iChat?
Where can I get the AIM account? (I am not an AOL user).

Thanks!~
Got a 12" Powerbook ^__^

Anyone can use iChat for free. To get an AIM account, I go to www.aim.com, and register from there. You should be able to register for a .Mac chat account in iChat. I'm not sure if .Mac chat is a charge service, as I am a paying member. But AIM is always free.

Yes & no.
You need either an AIM or .Mac account to use iChat over the internet. You can use it without an account for chatting on your local network via rendezvous.

To get an AIM account, you just need to visit AOL's web page and follow the links...
