Who cares? Conan was better and always will be! Craig is just a conceited, vain, no good, etc....
He was never a threat to the true king of late night!

Well, good for him for wanting to try something new. I watched the Late Late Show when it first came out with Craig, but never since. Maybe catch two or three minutes here or there. If I happened to catch a late show, Conan is where it's at.

Rumor is that Conan's contract is up in a year and CBS is going try to get Conan to leave NBC and fill Killborn's time slot. This is so when Dave retires, Conan gets Dave's prime time spot and can go against the retard Leno.

Conan is allright but not mainstream. I wouldn't watch him at the earlier timeslot but can tolerate him where he is. His infomercial show last night was pretty lame but innovative. (Gawd Jenner is scary looking..)

Kilborn is too talented for his timeslot. He looked comfortable on the alumni ESPN shows this past week. I'll miss him but expect him to be back in some fashion.

Good. The Daily Show lost one of their best writers because of his comments in Esquire and suffered until Jon Stewart was brought in to replace him.

Timeline for failure:

Jul 1996 The Daily Show debuts on Comedy Central.

Sep 1997 In an interview with Esquire magazine, The Daily Show host Craig Kilborn jokes: "There are a lot of bitches on the staff, and, hey, they're emotional people. You can print that! You know how women are -- they overreact. It's not really a big deal. And to be honest, Lizz does find me very attractive. If I wanted her to blow me, she would."

15 Dec 1997 Comedy Central suspends Craig Kilborn for a week without pay, after which The Daily Show takes an unscheduled two-week hiatus.

Jan 1998 Co-creator Lizz Winstead quits The Daily Show.

May 1998 CBS announces that Craig Kilborn will inherit The Late, Late Show from Tom Snyder, even though Kilborn's contract with Comedy Central isn't up until summer 1999.

11 Jan 1999 Jon Stewart replaces Craig Kilborn as host of The Daily Show.

I didn't understand how Craig Kilborn got a job in entertainment. Maybe this is the universe returning to equilibrium.

Letterman loves Jon Stewart. Perhaps he'll try to set him up as his future replacement. I really don't think Dave has more than 5-years left in him if that.

Conan is signed with NBC until 2005, and Leno is signed with NBC until 2009.

Rumor has it CBS sparked at the idea of Conan, with a huge salary; with the promise that he'd get the coveted 11:30PM slot once Letterman leaves.

That would be sweet, man. I'd start watching Conan more regularly. And it would be cool to see him get that slot. Go, Conan.

Am I the only one here that doesn't like Conan? I've been watching Craigers since his first show at CBS and have been enjoying it ever since. He will be sorely missed. Replacement wise I dream for Norm Macdonald or Zack Galafanackus (sp?) but I don't see that happening, rumor has it that Letterman will only be doing the show for another year and I fear Conan will get his slot...

Well my nocturnal television patterns have been shattered, time to drink some drano.

Ok, where does Dennis Miller fit into that timeline? He was after all, the best host.

Nope, Conan sucks. He is funny but not in an intelligent witty way. He is more like a jester jumping around using very low brow humor to get laughs. I think that if he were to replace Letterman that NBC would get a huge number of defectors to the Tonight Show. The type of humor O'Brien uses is tiring.
Kilborn's show has been dying and since Kimmel came on he has lost a lot of viewers. I liked Kilborn's stuff at the start but it also seemed to get stagnant as the show went on.
Whom ever gets Stewart, if anyone, is going to rule the timeslot they put him in.

Anyone here watch Letterman when he followed Carson? THOSE were the days.

Very similar to Conan, btw.

I think giving Letterman his prized time slot made him get all stuffy, like he was trying to fill the old man's shoes (Carson). But in reality, he was a lot funnier when he was younger and looser.

I think people would still tune in to watch things get thrown off tall buildings.

Yup, he has calmed down since then.

Indeed, Conan used a lot of David's schtick.

He still has it and brings it in sometimes, but you are right.

He is still The Man

My girlfriend adores Craig Kilborn, I just emailed her that link I'm sure she'll be heart-broken.

Personally I'm more of a Conan fan, Kilborn is OK, and that infomercial the other night was the worst thing I've ever seen come from Conan.

Yes i agree he was funny beacuse it was him, but you have to admit his acting skills are a tad under par.
