I downloaded the safari 3 beta today and the installer crashed halfway through the install.
After a restart mail won't launch, software update wont launch, safari 2 is gone and I can;t install onyx...
Icons on the dock just bounce once then quit.

When I had this problem a long time ago I jsut deleted some preference files and it was fixed.... but now I can't find the com.apple.ATS.plist file. I tried moving my user preferences folder to the desktop and restarting and still nothing works...

I am now digging through boxes looking for my macbook pro install disk...
