does anybody have any views on what is the best hit counter to use on my web pages. I need one which isn't going to count as a click through anyone who has visited in the previous, say, 24hrs.

I believe NBCi's counter (formally XOOM) can do this: http://wwwx.nbci.com/counter?tag=c-c...s.test.logo.ct
Not to sure though.
If you are allowed to have CGI, you can also just download a script, and modify it for your needs.

I like the eXTReMe tracker on my website. It collects much more data than your normal run of the mill counter, plus it trys to filter out all the duplicate hits, reloads, etc.
