I was fiddling with the educational price on the new MBP when I discovered that upgrading to the 7,200 RPM HDD (normally adds $135) doesn't adjust the price.

Probably a bug, but I wonder if people who order it now before they fix it will essentially get a free upgrade?

I have to wait to get my college money so I can blow it on the new laptop instead of school. That won't happen for a few more months.

I was planning to order that HD on the morning of release and it caused the ship date to change from 1-3 days to 4-6 weeks. I wasn't even that set on the choice of HD, so I said screw that, I'm going to the Apple Store and getting a stock configuration today.

Don't know if that's the case for all orders, but if so it would be something to consider when ordering.

The store has been fixed. No more free 7200RPM or glossy discount.
