SO heres the problem...
Garageband can only go on your system partition...problem is that my system partition only has 2 gigs left...so it'd leave it pretty much taken up.
So i copied the Garageband file from Application Support and put it in my User Application Support folder (because my user dir is on another partition)...Garageband told me it couldn't locate the folder(it needed the instruments), asked me to find it, so I did...all looked/worked well...then i tried to use the loops. This is where it said that the folder wasn't there and I needed to re-install.

I quickly looked over the plist for a quick fix, but here is my issue, how can i get Garageband to look at my User Library/Application Support folder isntead of my System wide one!
thanks in advanced.

Most Cocoa stuff can be fooled by using Unix symbolic links... so you could move GarageBand's files to another drive and create a symlink to them at the location they used to be. Haven't tried it (heck, I haven't even gone looking where GB keeps its files yet), but it oughta work.

You may be able to do this by forcing GB to re-index the Loop Library.

Try dropping the moved loops onto the loop browser. (You can't drop a folder.... you have to select all the loops.)

Not sure if this will work for you, but maybe worth a try?
