Any feedback on the additional instruments, amps and effects?
So far, there is not too many instruments. What about pizzicato strings, cellos, percussions and all?

I'm especially interested in the quality and scope of the extra software instruments. What are they like? What sort of "style" or "genre" would you say they fall under?

i bought it. it has tons of new...well...everything. but not as many...or more appropriately...not as varied as i had hoped.
its hard to say exactly what all was added since I have my Acid loops integrated into GB as well. it did add many though and they do sound great.

How do you integrate other loops (Acid, etc) into GB?

well...you can drag them into GB's loop browser and it will bring them in...but the only thing is they wont be showed unless they are in "Apple Loop Format".
you can get the "Sountrack Loop Utility" from Apple's developer website (I believe). i have mine because it came with Soundtrack. anyways...
import all of your loops into SLU and change all the tags how you see fit. save them. then drag them into GB's loop browser. there ya go. lots of loops
