I was a member of AppleTalk Australia. I found this morning that I was banned because apparently I am insane.

A friend of mine took a look in the forum and the owner even made a post regarding it there declaring he banned me because I am insane.

I deduced that it is actually sour grapes, but that's another story.

Actually now that I think about it, it's actually kind of funny in a way. But hey I promise to be a good and sane member here

I'm not sure how to post attachments here otherwise I'd give ya'll a look at the message I received from him, good for a laugh I suppose.

The good news is that Gap Inc. now fully supports the Safari browser. So while you are insane, continue to shop at OldNavy.com, BananaRepublic.com and Gap.com freely.

not that there's anything wrong with that. ;-)

I also recommend purchasing a Ferrari. But not a blue one. There's almost no situation that can't be fixed through careful use of a non-blue Ferrari and hot babe.

Yes. It's pointless having a non-blue Ferrari if you haven't got the hot babe to go with it. A Ferrari can't cook your breakfast for you, for example. If you haven't had a good cooked breakfast then you won't be able to fix the situation.

that isn't what i was getting at, but point taken. :-)

so the plan for enduring mental stability:
1. acquire a non-blue ferrari
2. use non-blue ferrari to search for hot babe that can cook
3. fill your nights with passionate "doofy-like" lovin' of said hot babe
4. wake to a proper cooked breakfast
5. solve any situation you find yourself in

i must remember that. :-)

be well.

Well just keep being insane, and you'll always have a place here. Maybe. As long as the mods don't become (more?) insane and ban everyone.

I've met many a hot babe where I'd have my car cook for me sooner than them.

Ok I managed to get the link {thanx to what_the_heck).

The "lies" Disko is referring to was a discussion in another forum where it was mentioned that AppleTalk Australia gleaned their information from there and published it on their own forum. It wasn't even a big deal at the time and wasn't even being nasty to anyone. It was just a statement someone had made and everyone else was discussing (as you do on a forum I guess). I think it has since been removed.

But if you read through the posts you'll see that quite a few people (apart from the moderators/owners of AppleTalk Australia) are actually quite surprised and had positive things to say. Note the reference he makes to "Currawong" in his initial post (with a link on the name) if you read my comment in that linked thread about him going to Japan I actually am being nice so I just don't get it.

Initially he'd shown my IP address, but I contacted his server provider and lodged a complaint and so he had to edit it out. Anyway I'm over it and moving on. But have a read if you like.

Alright, iluvmymactoo, here your next steps.

1) register a new nick, using the link that I gave you above
(use www.spamhole.com to disguise your true email)
2) the nicks have to end with the number 68 !!!11! ALWAYS !
3) start posting obnoxious stuff about the admins and members
4) NEVER EVER let a ban keep you from re-registering new nicks.
5) You can beat the system ! Go do it !
7) After Eleventy Billion bans, you may come back here and battle Rob

Cheers !

Hahaha, no I wouldn't do that kind of thing. I guess if the owner (Disko) doesn't want me there then so be it.

The other person "Currawong" use to organise local meets with the forum members where everyone use to go to a cafe and sit on their Macs and post in the forum, then I decided to organise a meet at one of the Apple Centres here. It was great, the guy who owned the Apple Centre spent some time showing us various Apple apps, then gave everyone a free STM sleeve, then had a competition on a flight simulator and the winner got a 1G iPod Shuffle. But Currawong never spoke to me after that and everytime I posted on the AppleTalk Australia forum would reply with some smarty remark.

So like I said I think it's more sour grapes on their part. Besides its not the first time they've done this I just never thought I'd fall victim to it.

Reading your thread, it sounds like several people became way too emotionally invested in some forums. I always try to catch myself when I find it mattering what negative things some person on some forum says about me. This approach seems to work fairly well.

I truly wish you all the best. Should try to post as if you are posting to yourself.

Consider the possibility that you may be insane. Think about all of the insane people you know. How many of them are aware of their insanity? Probably not many. Think about it.

Busted for what? Because I was involved in a discussion in another forum about AppleTalk Australia leaching information and claiming it as their own? Perhaps if all the other people in that discussion were members of AppleTalk Australia they would have been banned as well?

And the emails I sent to Disko were not nasty at all, infact I was asking what his problem was and why was he continuously goading me in his forum everytime I made a post? I mean take a look at that thread there is no real evidence of any posts that I made that were "insane", nasty or even antagonising. Infact all he showed was that I am a member of another forum other than his.

No I didn't get busted, I just got pushed out for because I stood on somebody's toes.

I am talking about the fact were you totally denied being the other person up until the end. They busted you on that.

Had you not denied it, and played them off as fools regardless of what they have done, I doubt you would be banned.

Google is for this kind of things. There is a page by that name of homepage.mac.com/iluvmymactoo in google cache here and also you mention it's your page in this link here and also you used that .mac email address in this thread here, but maybe they are typos I guess? It looks like it's your page.

Nope they're not my pages and originally in those threads I never had that as my .Mac address because I have never owned that address. But then it's not my forum either.
