I love sports. I know that some of you do too, but I wanted to get an idea of what sports are most popular in the MacNN forums. Sure, some sports are going to be left out, but that's what you post for.

I'm a Premiership fan, myself. Too bad no one here in the States seems to want to talk about it.

I'm sure basketball is about to get blasted out of the water. So long as it beats out the puckheads.

I was a basketball fanatic until I graduated from high school. I became a bigger football/football guy.

I picked up basketball in college. I watched a decent amount of football (and baseball to a much lesser degree) growing up.

Grew-up a volleyball fanatic - hard too living in the east coast. Played indoor most of the time... then got into beach/dubs... then got recruited by a buddy to play nine-man.... what a wacked out format.

Now, I eat, sleep, drink golf. Its amazing how such an "easy" premise can be so damn frustrating at times. I guess the good thing is that at least this can last me the rest of my life.

However, I'd say my favorite sport is actually basketball.... although I'm not very good at it. just never developed it I guess.... can jump and rebound - but that's about it.

I don't really like watching sports, but I love playing volleyball. I'll play basketball too, but just because I'm tall.

Soccer, hockey, and basketball got my votes. They're pretty much tied. I've loved soccer since I was a little kid, but was always better at basketball for some reason, in spite of my shortness.

I also went for "Other," because alpine snowboarding is my personal shiznit.

gobo knows gobo's hip is as well as it has always been.

gobo knows gorickey is confusing gobo with Bo Jackson. gobo knows Bo Jackson's hip is also fine. gobo knows Bo Jackson had Bo Jackson's old, broken hip replaced with a new, working hip in 1992.

I leave for a day, and hockey takes the lead? Wow...

I played basketball from 4th grade until I graduated, but then became a soccer nut once I got into high school.

Sadly volleyball is never listed as a top sport and has to be voted under "Other." Growing up in the U.S. (especially in Texas), if you didn't play the big 3 (football, baseball, basketball), it didn't matter.

In Texas, no other sport is on the same level as football. I can't believe how crazy they are about it. In NW Louisiana, football is still king, but soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and hockey are getting increasing levels of exposure.

Hahaha. Imagine being the person to walk up to one of the big athletic directors in our Texas schools and asking that question: "What about Squash?" I can just see the big guy's face turning red or passing out from anger.

As Jawbone54 said, in Texas (unfortunately) football is king and everything else gets scraps or its leftovers.
