tried to search, to no avail...

what's a good piece of software to voice chat during gameplay? I play in a guild w/ both mac & PC users, and we haven't found ANYTHING that's cross-platform yet... anyone know of anything?

Skype is the best thing I've come across (not necessarily for gaming) that is cross platform, works effortlessly, and sounds MUCH better than most voice chatting apps I've heard. I regularly talk to my PC buddy on the other side of the country and have talked to Thailand when my neighbor (PC) was over there visiting his daughter. He talks regularly to Thailand and England. I think the conference calling is limited to 4 or 5 people at once though, don't know if that's a problem for you.

bit late but... tried Skype... problem is that it's 5-man only.
On a 40-body raid that's just not enough.

My guild uses Skype, but now that we're starting to do all guild raids, we are looking for something that will allow more than 5 in a call. Haven't found anything yet.

Yeah, but that doesn't help me since the rest of my guild has a PC.

Team Speak is pretty much vaporware at this point but they are promising a Mac version this year with Team Speak 3. Release was supposed to be 1st quarter but who knows now. They are a very hush hush group over there.
