hi there. I own a core 2 duo macbook. I just installed the 2007 update for airport and now I can't connect to the internet with my macbook! Right now i'm using a different computer on my network. Is there any way to undo the update or find an old updater? I'm on 10.4.8 and
I couldnt find any updates that would seem to work for that.

Since I updated my MacBook wireless has become pretty flakey...connecting and disconnecting during the day today. It seems stable now but this afternoon I was doing the wired Ethernet thing.

There are a number of people with C2D Macs reporting this issue on a number of Macs. For what it's worth, I ran the update on my Core Duo MBP and had no problems whatsoever. I think this is a C2D issue. And there's a thread in Networking about it too...

For the record, I did restart and the computer I'm using now is connected via wireless. The same way my macbook was before the update (it's a windows laptop though)

You could try doing this...

Go to Preferences----Network----Airport. Change the selection of network you join from 'automatic' to the one/ones of your choice - I did this a few days ago and *touch wood* I've had no dropouts since then... there's no guarantee this fix will be permanent, but it seems to be working for me so far...

Good luck...

Hi, I called mac support for this.
After the update, you have to remove your network place and recreate a new one with the wizard.
After this it should be ok...

Hope this helps you
