I've seen this logo before somewhere, or something very similar:



I'm positive I've seen the same plane and colors before in another logo. Anyone familiar with the other logo?

That style has been used a million times. Its very likely you've seen something very close to what you posted. Hell, its even highly possible that its a total and complete ripoff. Happens all the time.

Looks a lot like the 1920's and 30's travel company logos. I remember seeing ones for cruise lines and cruise ships that are very similar (Cunard, Red Star?).

It's a style-as shown by all the other DC-3esque pictures others have posted. Late 30s art style (embellished by the Russians for "patriotic State illustrations"), and then rendered as a two color woodcut. Nice, but I like the airbrush style of the others (like the TWA poster) much better.

in the mid 80's a design firm duffy design group started the trend of retro clipart like designs. this looks like it was influenced by them
