Which peer-to-peer file sharing network do you use to download your....um... softwarz?

I found this intriguing article online exploring the human side of the p2p movement, such as why we as people want to put up our stuff for the world and feel it's right to do so. The story described the different types of people that tend to use certain p2p sharing networks? So which do you use to download your Mac stuff? Gnutella, FastTrack, WinMX, eDonkey, Hotline, Caracho, or something else? Aparently people using WinMX tend to be more advanced and 'ol folks who like Hotline prefer a user-to-user approach to file sharing?

So which network do you use primarily? Which is the best?

Thanks Kenneth. I completely forgot about BitTorrent. But from what I hear, BT is relatively new and I wander if it has any good stuff for Mac users? What other p2p networks are out their that offer Mac stuff?

Lately, only BitTorrent. The rest take too much effort.

I actually never tried BitTorrent. What's it like? I hear it's pretty different structure from other p2p networks. Importantly, does it work behind LAN Proxy servers & firewalls?

My usually favorite p2p network, Gnutella, doesn't work behind proxies and firewalls last time I checked. Anyone know if this problem has been fixed in any Windows Gnutelle client?

Limewire for the small stuff, BitTorrent for the biggies. Where is a good place for torrents? I usually just search on Limewire for "Torrent". Seems like LimeWire development has stalled. They used to pop up new builds all the time. Now it seems to be stuck at 3.6.15 for some time.

Mostly Overnet/eDonkey. Preferable 'coz I can run it on a *nix server (minimising risk/impact on Macs) and SSH into it.

Gnutella (LimeWire) and BitTorrent for backup.

Now if only I could find a way of easily converting those (legal rare live recording) OGG files into something that iTunes can play.
