I have a HFS+ (non journaled) disk attached to my Airport Extreme. It works fine but after a while of use another icon apears in the 10.5 finder:
What is the PC icon with "airport.extreme" all about? Even stranger clicking on it will say "connection failed".
Any ideas?

That's the icon for a PC (Windows) share. It could be advertising itself on Windows sharing protocols, which your Mac is detecting.

Maybe it won't connect that way because HFS+ doesn't work on Windows, AFAIK.

The question though is why does it show up at all if there are no PC's on the network and it is formatted HFS+
Not to mention it only shows up after a few minutes
